Religious Freedom

Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis denied two licenses two days after the Supreme Court rejected her appeal.
Ms. Davis, you must stand before God and what? Tell the almighty you've taken the liberty of playing judge and jury on behalf of God? Good luck with all that ...

Lost Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis denies licenses to LGBT couples under "God's authority." Lost because her soul has clearly lost its way from God as well as the law of the land.

Apparently the obvious is obscure for some humans. Religious freedom means a person's right to not be persecuted for being of a particular faith/religion as well as their freedom to worship. Forcing one's "religious" ideologies onto others is something other than religious freedom. It's called persecution, intolerance and discrimination - acts which are opposed by the Christian God and violate other people's freedoms to exist as they are. Do unto others ...

Apparently the ACLU wants Davis to be prosecuted for being in contempt of court. If people were kind, just and acted with utmost integrity all on their own accord, would we have any use for law?

People who do things in the name of religious freedom often really misunderstand the point. If nothing impedes the individual's ability to faithfully worship and practice, or not, as they so choose, there is nothing more to do than live and let live.

SCOTUS has summoned Davis and her staff to stand before a federal judge for contempt. Actually I'm quite curious to see how this plays out.
